Eurovac self-supporting arms provide the most economical and effective methods for the capture of fumes. Contaminants are removed at their source. The use of self-supporting joints, flexible hoses and smooth bore tubing allow for easy placement of the arm’s hood near the source of problem.

Fume arm tubes are fabricated of steel with cast aluminum joints which include friction disc and are fully adjustable to the workers desired tension. The arms include a handle which completely encircles the hood in order to facilitate easy repositioning from all sides. Hood diameters vary from 160mm/6" on the 75mm/3” arms, to 350mm/14" on the 200mm/8" arms. All hoods are equipped for installation of an optional light kit.

Eurovac self-supporting arms can be combined with several accessories to provide the best solution for a particular problem:

- swinging extension booms to increase reaches,
- arms with a standing bench mountable flange,
- fans or filtering system.

A large variety of hoods can be manufactured to suit a particular requirement. Different diameters, constructions, material are available.

- all welding processes,
- grinding dusts and most air borne dusts,
- polishing, painting, printing,
- soldering fumes (for ESD-Safe models please contact),
- chemical applications such as laboratories (stainless models),
- food and pharmaceutical (stainless models).


Pivoting extension booms

Eurovac swing extension booms are designed to enlarge the area of reach of Eurovac products such as Eurovac self supporting arms and vehicle exhaust equipment such as hose reels and hoses. The extension booms aid in reaching points which are distant from wall or other mounting areas. Extension booms can also be used to support items such as feeders or to undersling hoses or cables. The swivel section of the extension boom is made of rolled steel pipe which is capped at the bottom.

The top of the pipe is adapted to accept a fan or flanged duct connection. The extension beams are manufactured of heavy gauge square steel tubing with bearing swivel. The spiral ducting mounted along the beam has diameter of 160mm (6”) or 200mm (8”). Standard units are supplied with brackets for mounting fume arms. Double pivot type extension booms are divided by a centre bearing hinge which allows the user to reach back under the extension boom.
