An industrial supply house contacted Eurovac with the problem of smoke being generated while cutting hydraulic hose. Eurovac assessed the situation and decided a custom hood with a high volume collector was the best method to collect the fumes. The system was located inside the facility and exhausted
out the building.

Challenge

• Eliminate smoke & fumes from a hydraulic hose cutting operation.
• Hydraulic hose cutting produces a lot smoke and getting it captured with a proper hood was the challenge.

Solution

• Eurovac made a custom hood and ducted the hood back to a central collector.
• A central high volume cartridge dust collector (Model 070-500) was installed along with ducting back to the collector.

Impact

•After the system was installed the fumes were eliminated.
•The employees moral increased due to a safer, healthier work environment.
