Source capture vacuum system: Aluminum dust

A manufacturer of aluminum panels contacted Eurovac with a problem due to airborne aluminum dust. In the manufacturing process the panels are brought to a workstation where the employees sand the pieces with a 5” orbital sander to ensure a proper finish. This produces an aluminum dust which is emitted into the workspace creating a hazard to the employees heath due to the dust in the breathing space and the explosive nature of airborne aluminum dust.
