In recent years, a good number of automobile manufacturers have moved towards aluminum bodies to reduce weight for increased fuel efficiency. The move to aluminum bodies has presented unique repair challenges for the industry as cross contamination with steel can cause galvanic corrosion and safety hazards, necessitating dedicated tools, separate work bays or rooms, and specific dust extraction vacuum systems instead of blowing dust.
